Too Much Fun Too Much Fog

Saturday dawned warm and beautiful. Lexi ate for a while then took a nap in her usual place. Ruby is standing guard.

Jesse, Tessie and Amira enjoyed their "meals on wheels." The horses really like their recess day.

This is the straightened breezeway. It has stayed orderly for almost a week.

Since we planned a birthday lunch for Saturday, Jim felt it would be a good time to hang the rooster on the wall.

He, also, put up the bell we got for Christmas. It looks good.

Mac, Love and Jim rest before company arrives. It seems silly, but I never got a picture of the birthday girl. Sorry, Katrina.

Leah and Carly with the help from Ron and Miss Pickles try out a horse donated for the Thrift Store.

Laura joined the fun.

Anna sat quietly for a few minutes. No one could stay still long with all the commotion. We had waaaay too much fun.

Helen and Brian share some ideas. Notice at all the good food? Lasagna, spinach salad, homemade bread, cookies, chocolate mints, brownies and apple dumplings.

We talked all afternoon until feeding time. Then the evening sky gave us the best present of all.

This morning the fog came in so thick that it was dangerous to drive. Volunteers stayed home for safety reasons. Emily came down (she lives above the fog) and we took all the left over food up to Su and Jerry's for lunch and a visit.

Patches did the best thing of all. He took his favored spot in front of the heater and basked in the warmth.

We came home in time to feed and then to snuggle inside.
