When we left this afternoon with an empty trailer the horses watched but did not whinny a Good-Bye. No one was leaving and they knew it. They waited to see who was coming.
Tawnee from NorCal introduced us to the newest and youngest members of the Home At Last family- Cedrick and Julian, tiny calves that NorCal had rescued.
Julian is a little more outgoing and had to investigate everything.
Cedrick is shyer and more afraid, but they both are soooo cute and loveable. They will fit right in.
Because of the predicted storm, all the horses were moved into the barns tonight, except for Pico, the donkeys and mules. All opted for extra food, but outside, please. It took 3 hours to get everyone in, fed and watered. Sometimes it's like a Rubric's cube, moving one here, so another can go there.
Please, plan on putting Home At Last in your 2010 budget. It will help the horses and make you feel really good. Thank you.
