An Interesting Friday Jan. 15 2010

This morning started off like most others. There were hungry horses waiting to be fed. Pico made sure he wasn't left out.

Keecha and Mac had a good romp while I was feeding.

Levi was especially hungry this morning. Then a new adventure was about to begin. I went to the Hiway and waited.

Who is that coming down Hiway 70? It is Su, coming to get Donna for a special day. We headed to Oroville for a conference.

The Oroville Arts Commission Conference had great information about the wonderful opportunities available in the Oroville area and good information on grant writing. Home At Last is always seeking ways to fund the sanctuary and we thought maybe writing a grant would be a good idea.

We met old friends and made new ones.

After a lot of thought we decided that grant writing needs to be done by someone with more time than I have. Is there anyone out there who writes grants for worthy organizations , but does not charge an arm and a leg?

It was an interesting day, but I was glad to get home to feed the critters.
