A Wet Wednesday

The morning was clear. What would the day bring? For one thing Jim is getting another cold. I hope it's not a MAN COLD. This is the view from the front of the house.
When I looked out the back, the sun was just touching the hilltops. I took this picture and then..
Jonathan inhaled a few times and began his Celtic morning song. He was waiting by the back deck, hoping to hurry us along with his breakfast. We love this old fella.

Gracie joined him and is showing us where to put her grain.
Soon Julian and Banjoe joined the chorus and they all let us know how selfish we were to eat our breakfast first.
The day became cloudier and cloudier. Last year it was in the 100s in May. This Spring has been great. It has been cool for the most part with lots of rain.
Dancing Drum, Star, and Dunny waited patiently for the tractor to get to them.

Star agrees with the calves and Grace and Jonathan. We are too slow.

On the way to the front herd.

The horses were frisky, running, bucking, and chasing.

A little fuzzy, but you can see part of the herd.
Sweetie Pie heads for the food.

Clouds, then clearing, then clouds again.

Beth took some great pictures of the afternoon rain.

She is a budding photographer.

Do you see the face? The rain stopped as I finished the evening feeding. It was an ordinary day, but a wonderful one. We are so grateful to be doing what we are doing.
