Look under the horse trailer. It's Jonathan in one of his favorite spots. He can be in the shade and rub all at the same time.
Frankie and Moon Dancer love being in front. They greet everyone and beg for treats.
Frankie's neck is healing nicely. Great job, Dr. D. You saved this boy's life. The tumors would have killed him.
Moon Dancer wants a close up of her beautiful nose. The pink stuff is SWAT, used to keep flies away.
She also wanted a picture taken of her neck. What's good for the gelding is good for the mare.
Rico is a rascal. He won't eat his hay until he gets some grain. He is so much more comfortable now that he has a padded shoe. We'll keep checking to see if we can prevent any more abcesses. He may need more extensive foot care.

Bobbie had a sore that needed treated tonight. I think the flies are causing all sorts of problems. Going to try to get some really potent relief for the horses tomorrow. She is becoming buddies with her new herd.
Took this when I was busy feeding. Finished about 9 PM. It's still 85 degrees and supposed to be 105+ tomorrow.
Fixing meals has become an interesting process. Tonight all that sounded good was a rice cake with peanut butter and cream cheese. Also an avocado. Got me wondering. Would avocado and peanut butter go well with the cream cheese? What do you think?

Thanks, Steve for loading the hay for me tonight. It's funny, but no one wants to be here at 5:30 AM to feed. That's OK. I like the quiet alone time.
