The computer needed a couple of days of rest and Steve from Verizon Wireless to feel like working again. Thanks, Steve. We're back!.
Charles is doing so well after his eye surgery. He has no more pain, does not walk in circles, and is eating like a horse. He and Belle have bonded and do not like to be separated, even when we have to move them to the warm barn. When we walk them Charles keeps his nose on Belle's hip. He knows she won't let him get hurt and he follows along quietly.
Aurora and her herd are in the barn, too, because the temperature has dropped to the low 30's and maybe even in the 20's. The horses like being warm, but not confined. There are squeals and kicks to the barn when someone gets too cranky.
Big ole Cash loves to be in, but not with others, so he has a stall to himself.
A young friend, Jackie Nelson, moved back to our area. Jackie is a great volunteer horse trainer. We love her gentle, but firm methods. Some trainers feel that might makes right. We like the thoughtfulness and respectfulness Jackie uses.
We are getting ready for our big day at Oroville Tractor Supply on Sat. Dec 19 . Jim will be Father Christmas and Jesse the horse will be there ,too, for pictures.
We have PayPal now to make your donations more convenient. Thank you Lorie H, Lin C, Mary R, Tractor Supply Company, Lee E., Brian C and anonymous. Your gifts keep the horses' tummies full.
