After the Storm Wed. Jan 13 2010

The rain was much needed, but everyone was glad to see the sun today. The clouds were breathtaking and the animals were glad to be out and about.

Pilgrim always manages to undo any hay wrapping. He loves to steal the hay next to his stall. He gets so mad when we recover the hay.

Ruby the Thoroughbred ate in the barn this morning. Could you sponsor Ruby? She's 20 and has had a difficult life. She "mothers" Chance, Rico and Pedro.

Pico the Westphalian wanted to eat breakfast in the barn today, too. He was being trained at Jec Ballou's training stable when he was injured. Jec did not want to send him out in the world where anything could happen to him, so she sent him to us. Pico is 17.2 hands tall and is a lover. Could you help sponsor Pico? Even $5.00 a month would be great

Breeze Bay wanted to say Hello close up.

The horses rested after a big breakfast. Cajun is dozing, but keeping guard for Breeze Summer

Jake is so big he needs lots of guards while he naps.

The calves, Banjoe and Julian, still drink three bottles of milk a day, but they eat grass all day. They took a nap in the sun, too.
