After feeding Julian and Banjoe is was time to feed everyone else. Belle and Charles could not get through the goo to get a drink so I moved a small tub to them. I only fell face first twice as my feet got mired and all I could do was go down. No matter what you may have heard a mud pack is not refreshing and beautifying. Nor does it smell good. I would not recommend a mud bath to anyone at 7:15 AM, especially if manure is the main ingredient

The horses received a lecture on cleanliness . I tried to explain how clean horses looked and felt so much better. However. Warrior didn't listen.

Stuart didn't listen.
And certainly Star didn't listen
The hawks called to each other and flew overhead while I fed. One landed in a tree right above me.

Keecha watched and waited for bird shadows to chase.
When I went to feed in the evening Belle was snorting and running up and down the turnout. She kept watching the highway. The dogs barked and Charles kept his head cocked. I couldn't see anything.
