Vet Day

Dr Darling and Lauren came today. There was a lot of work to do. Levi had his teeth checked but was OK. Daisy's teeth needed a float. Both had their vaccinations last week. While Daisy was being worked on Levi stood in the corner as close to Daisy as he could get. He did not like that "his" Daisy was away from him. They rejoiced when she was out back in their turnoutRico, Chance and Pedro got their shots, but only Chance had to have a wolf tooth pulled. He had to have his teeth floated even though he is so young. He was not blessed by a good set of teeth. He was a good boy and glad to get back to his friends. His whole life will be a series of dental work.
Tiger Lily was one of the many who got their West Nile Virus shot today. There are only a few more horses and everyone who can be caught will be done
Frankie had an extensive check-up. It was decided he will go into the vet's office for a tumor removal on his neck. He was frantic when Moon Dancer was taken out for her dental work. He ran and called and called and ran. Levi raced around with him. He and Moon Dancer have been together less than a week, but they are already deeply bonded. He was soooo glad when she came back. Moon Dancer needed quite a bit of dental work. She had a lot of tartar buildup. She should feel much better now. She loves her Frankie. Lots of things to be discussed. After an animal dies we always go over the list of things that we do, our protocols and if we made any mistakes. It was mutually decided that Pilgrim's death resulted from a catastrophic internal accident-stoke, heart attack, or aneurysm. There was nothing we could have done.

We caught animals and vaccinated all afternoon. We all had dinner together and that's THE END.

Our vet bill will be well over $1000.00 for this visit alone. Can anyone help with the bill?
