Sierraville, here we come

After feeding and watering horses, donkeys, mules, calves, goats, chickens, guineas, dogs and cats we headed up Hiway 70 into the beautiful Feather River Canyon.
This is one of the most picturesque canyons I've ever seen.
Very quickly we left the foothills and started up in to the forest. A train parallels the Hiway for most of the trip.

Only a few big trucks and one road repair slowed our progress. When we got to Sierraville grand daughter Beth and her mom Jade were waiting for us.
This is a view from their back yard. Wow!!!

The granddads had a good talk.

LD uses an old snow saucer for a great ride.

All too soon it was time to leave.

What beautiful country. There is so much water available and so many planted fields.
Lots of open land.

We passed through Portola and Quincy.

The Feather River rolled along beside the road.

OK We'll be careful.

Rest time is over. Let's get home.

Back to the herd and feeding and watering horses, donkeys, mules, calves, goats, dogs, cats, chickens, and Guineas. Thank you Helen, for working with Amira today.
Thank you Jade, Bob, Beth and LD for a great visit.
