Helen shares ideas with Amalie. It was a great volunteer day.
Shelly and I visit about the critters.
Hello, Handsome.
Yes, your profile is beautiful, too.
Tina and Sweetie Pie get to know each other a little better.
Sweetie Pie lives up to her name if you're not a horse.
Ooh. A little to the left, please.

Laura, Emily, Nancy and Lyle didn't get in the pictures but they were here. Thank you to everyone who came today to be with the horses.
Yesterday I took a little tumble, so I was looking forward to feeding tonight and then taking a nice, long, hot soaky bath.
As I headed to the lower barn, Lucky was choking. Jim called the vet and Dr D. came out. He needed some other stuff and had to leave, but will be back shortly. Lucky remembered how it was to be a stallion and even though he is small he put up a terrible struggle. It took all three men to kind of manage him. He reared, kicked and struck out with his front feet. It was quite a sight.
We are not sure what he has caught in his throat, but I think from now on treats to the critters will be limited. We think whatever he had in his throat was there before breakfast, but it just didn't show up til later. It's no one's fault.

No use trying for a bath until everything is settled. Yep. Life is what happens when you have other plans.
