Rain and 90 Years!!

We woke up this morning to the wonderful sound of raindrops. I know rain means mud, but the wells are slowing down and we need to have them replenished. Besides it smells so good and feels so good to be cool again. For a day or two we are without those pesky flies. We added Skittles and Tiger Lily to the barn, but Tiger Lily could not stand to be without her Quincy. She whinnied and pawed and he stood right next to her stall. Finally, we let her out. She has her love to keep her warm.

Come on, rain. Wash off those blankets.

Jonathan and Baby Jane (hiding behind the tree) can go in the barn if they want, but prefer to be out.
Baby Jane lived in the Santa Cruz mountains and never went in.
The goats all fit in to the new house Jim built for them. Poe wasn't going to let Mr S in. He put his head down to butt him. Mr S put his head down, then did a neat little side pass and in he went. That happened 2 more times. Finally, all goats were in and warm. Sorry, Poe. You have to share.

The inside cats enjoyed a romp. All they needed was one toy stuffed rabbit.

Patches carried the rabbit at a dead run all through the house. He'd walk away from it, then run back and pounce. The other cats followed, jumped and had a great time.

The rabbit won. Patches was exhausted. Princess waited until he was asleep, then pounced on him.

Friends Art and Carolyn fed for us tonight so we could attend Jim's mom's 90th birthday. We had a lot of fun. The camera, of course, was in the truck. I did get a picture of the bag with her presents, though. Thanks, friends. Happy Day, Mom.

Thank you, Lisa A. for your donation.
Tomorrow is volunteer day. Already had some call to say they'll be here to clean stalls. Yea, volunteers!!!!!
