Sunny Tuesday Love It!!!

Gracie found a sun spot and took a nice long nap. In fact she slept so long that Jonathan finally went over to check on her. She got up, huffed a little and went right back down and back to sleep. Guess Jonathan didn't know about letting sleeping minis lie.

The big herd squished their way around while eating. They do have dry places, but I guess they are not as much fun as gooey places.

It was Lexi's turn to be out today. She wasn't sure she wanted to leave the barn, but when she saw all the available hay out she went. She wears her mud well, don't you think?

Levi II joined her. They nibbled their way up the hill and back down again. Do you see Love dog in the background? She's never too far from me. She was dumped at a local high school about 6 years ago. She's been a great dog. She was hit by a car on Hiway 70, but still is not afraid to run in front of them.
I guess because the tractor is so slow she figures everything is slow.

Isn't that blue sky something?

Before we ate breakfast the dogs were barking their "The horses are out" bark. Sure enough Frankie and Moon Dancer were parading around the yard. We had told them we were going to move them to a drier spot today and I guess they wanted to be sure we meant it. I was going to catch Frankie and lead him because I knew Moon Dancer would follow.
Well, Moon walked right up to me and waited for the halter, so I lead her and Frankie followed.
They seemed to like their bigger, drier space.

Moon found the water and had a nice long cold drink. She is the sweetest girl. She lost an eye due to uveitis. Appy's have a tendency for that.

Solar panels and a solar Dobbin.

It was time for Jim to get another load of hay-92 bales for the next week. As he left for Chico I headed to Paradise to the dentist.

Juan had his Rosie again today and Sparkle joined them. I think we should call him Darkle because of all the mud on him. When I let him out this morning he found a patch of hay in the sun and had a long nap. I guess it was nap day.

Ruby, Rico and Pedro also had naps. Everyone enjoyed the warmth.

Our spirits soar when the weather is bright. The cold-40's-didn't bother us. We even got down to short sleeves because the sun was so bright.
Thank you to Jean N, Mary R, Maurya F, Christina F, and Robert and Pat H for your generous donations. Thank you Eileen G for another warm horse blanket. All of you make Home At Last a great place for the animals.
