It was cold and there was frost on the roof And on the hay trailer.
Keecha brought home an antler the other day, and the dogs have been taking turns gnawing on it.
Doesn't Banjoe have beautiful eyes?
Julian shows off his pi mark on his forehead.
Levi is having a good romp.

Levi gets wound-up when the horses are put out. He can't go out because of Daisy. He runs, kicks and bucks.
Braveheart is a real people horse. He keeps track of his herd, but loves to visit with two leggeds, too. Little Grace had her turnout today. She ran to the minimules to say hello. They are about the same size- cute and tiny.
Lexi had her first turn out today, too. She can't be out for long, but enjoyed her freedom for a while. I put her in a turnout with Bobbie. When I caught Grace I put her in, too, but Grace sneaked out under the wire. Later I told Lexi that I wanted her to go to the lower barn and she walked right out the gate and to the barn with Grace right behind us. Cash likes the green grass and sunshine.
There are always helpers when you need them. Jim was getting the big trailer ready for a load of hay tomorrow when the "work force" showed up. Breeze, Tory and Braveheart gave him some pointers. The vet will be here Mon and we'll have him check our thin boys. They are over 30 and winter is hard on them. They get hay, grain and grass. They are put in the barn when it is cold.
While I was cleaning out the horse trailer/calf barn I kept hearing Jim saying, "You're not a chicken." After the third or fourth time I peeked out to see who was there. It was Jesse trying to follow Jim into the chicken yard. I guess he wanted the scratch Jim had. Jesse is a real people horse, too.
We still have mud.
This is goat ear tag. Auctions put them on. What they do it terrible.
This is a hard picture to see. It is Mr. S and what is left of his ear. The poor little goat was not only taken away from his mother and left for dead, then he had to fight his way through infections, but he had to have his ear tagged. The tagger did a bad job and it tore his ear off. It must be terribly painful. There must be a better less painful way to keep track of these little guys.
My heart is heavy for all the animals and people who have to suffer needlessly.
