Can you guess what this is? There are several spots like this all over the place. It's hair from Tory when he rolls. I guess it's time to get out the curry comb and brush and go to work on him. Trixie and Tess move all over the turn-outs. They are so close. You never see one without the other. They truly are "home at last." and they know it. You never know who you will find when you are out feeding.
The native oaks grow so well here. they provide shade in the summer and beauty all year round. You can see the upper storage tank in the background. It holds 5000 gallons. There is a gravity fed line to the lower barn and pumps to get the water to the house. Near the solar panels is a hook-up for Cal Fire should they need it. There is another tank the same size with a Cal Fire hook -up at the botttom of our property. We have 4 wells that we use in the Summertime.
The view from the upper tank is beautiful. Daisy, Levi and friends are enjoying their hay.
After dinner, everyone wants to sit near the baby. Mr. S likes to be held and cuddled. Mr S made it through another day. Hooray!!!! We visited with Donna Mathis at The Horse Store and More in Chico (www. the horsestoreand more.com) today. What a great store. If you're in Chico go visit them. You'll love it. 530-345-5353
