Fiesty and Princess did the only sensible thing- they snuggled and slept while we fed in the rain. We fed horses in the rain, calves in the rain, goats and dogs and cats in the rain.
Grace hates the rain, too, but she would not stay in the barn. She wanted to be out in the open, even if it was wet.
Banjoe stayed in his tent while Julian checked to see if the rain was really wet. Yep, it was and back he went underneath the tarps.
Since the rain was making everyone grumpy, crabby, and everything else negative, I decided to find things that liked the rain.

We had lots of chores away from the ranch-so off we went in the rain.

And to get hay. Need hay? Call Lyle 530-520-5852. Our horses love his hay and do really well on it.
Can you believe this?

At least Lake Oroville likes the rain.
A soggy entrance to Home At Last.
The horses have a barn they can go in, but some of them like to make us feel guilty by looking
wet and miserable.
Wait a minute. What's this? A break in the clouds!! Could the rain be over????
Banjoe and Julian look around and can't believe they are not getting wet. Grace is enjoying her pile of hay.
By late afternoon the rain had stopped and we could feed in dry weather.
