There were a lot of chores to be done today. The goats had been in the barn during the storms, but needed to be in the sun with something to nibble on. A temporary goat yard had to be built. Hey! We're outside. There is grass! There are toys for us. Hurray. Mr. S said a big Thank You for his new yard. Then the fences had to be repaired. If you have horses you have fences that need fixed. What a sky!!! Who's coming?? Our favorite truck. Hi Tawnee. Whatcha got? There they are-my birthday presents!!! Aren't they beautiful Who could want anything more
Beth meets Jonathan-Jason.
Tawnee introduces Tawny to Jim. Let's go, guys.
Jim and Beth lead Tawny and Jonathan to their new home. Cash loved Jonathan from the first moment.
Jenny came to say Hi to the newcomer But Cash stayed close.
Tawny called and called to Jonathan, but Cash was always nearby. Cash became so protective of Jonathan that Jim finally had to redo the fencing so Tawny and Jonathan could be together. Poor Jonathan is exhausted from Cash's constant attention. I've never seen a horse react so strongly so quickly to another critter.
Cash had not been penned with other horses until just a while ago. He had spent most of his life alone. I guess he fell "head over heels" for those beautiful long ears. When I was cooking breakfast I looked out the window and I had beautiful flowers. A few minute later they looked like this. Julian and Banjoe were confined to the round ring for flower abuse. Thank you NorCal for our wonderful new boys.
Thank you to Paradise Printing for our tee shirts and
A Big Thank You to anonymous for the bags of feed at Tractor Supply Company in Oroville.
