Patches and Patrick Ranch

Patches is quite a kitten. Not only is he cute, cuddly and adorable, but he has convinced Fiesty and Princess that he is a welcome addition to the feline family.
The playing is constant with rumpuses going on all over the house. It's OK until they come over the back of your chair, over the top of your head and down your tummy. By then the adrenaline is pumping and we are under siege.
Boxes and bags are good fun, too.

Our plan this morning was to load Tess and Amira and head off to Patrick Ranch in Durham. We eventually got Tess in, but she was so upset that Amira was not right there, that she pawed and whinnied and raised such a ruckus that Amira was afraid to get in the trailer.
Our objective was to have fun and this was not fun. Out came Tess and in went Jesse.
At Patrick Ranch Su and Jerry were there and so was Savahanna. We set up the table near the sheep dog shows. It was hot, but the shade felt so good. Soon Tina and her girls Leah and Carly came to help.

The girls gave information about Jesse and Home At Last.
Brian was there, too, to help out. We made lots of new friends, answered a lot of questions about unwanted horses, and shared about Home At Last. Su and Savahanna kept an eye on the table while I wandered around. Jenny and Anna came, too, and then Helen. We had a wonderful time. The wind blew a little , but it was not bad. See the sheep dog in the back?
Lots of folks came to see the excitement.

At day's end Helen took the girls and Jesse for a little walk.

Everyone worked hard, but had fun.
Jesse is wearing one of the fly masks that Diane sent. He looks so handsome in it.
Thank you, everyone, for your hard work. And to the guy who kept his horse tied in the sun for so long without water until we said something, we'll be there tomorrow to make sure your horse gets a drink.
